PRiME delivers a high-quality, global and sustainable training program in M&E for rural development professionals.

WHAT IS PRIME?

The Program in Rural Monitoring and Evaluation (PRiME) is a global training framework in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) that seeks to achieve better results in rural development projects. PRiME is a joint initiative developed and implemented by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Centers for Learning on Evaluation and Results (CLEAR).

OUR COURSES

PRiME offers two training programs in rural M&E

FUNDAMENTALS OF M&E CERTIFICATION

The Fundamentals of M&E program comprises two one-week courses. The objective is to provide participants with the necessary M&E knowledge.

IMPACT EVALUATION COURSE

The Impact Evaluation course builds capacities in impact evaluation applied to rural development projects.

OUR VISION

Community creation

We want to consolidate a strong and resourceful network between Alumni, trainers and M&E specialists by providing spaces for experience sharing and discussion.

Use of evidence

We intend to transform decision-making processes within the rural development sector towards an evidence-based approach.

Public knowledge production

We are committed to expanding the knowledge base of M&E through open access, quality-assured and multilingual materials.

PRiME can be a platform for connecting with other colleagues, not just for learning about M&E.

Cletus Yenet Kayenwee – Ghana
Participant of Fundamentals of M&E

The most attractive thing about PRiME is the valuable networking. I got to see different practices and different cultures working in rural development.
This was very special for me.

Nasandelger Zandan – Mongolia
Participant of Fundamentals of M&E

The learning and application of Theory of Change and ‘LogFrames’ improved our project.
Our ‘LogFrame’ had more than 100 indicators, now we only have 15 which are more operative and efficient to quickly track our work.

Luis Sáez Guillén – Peru
Participant of Fundamentals of M&E

When doing M&E, we also have to learn to communicate results. This course is a great opportunity to learn how to do this.

Claudia Sáenz – El Salvador
Participant of Fundamentals of M&E

The curriculum is very good, it has an ideal aggregation level where all of the participants can easily apply all of the concepts to their countries and their rural reality.

Sophie Álvarez – Colombia/USA
Trainer of Fundamentals of M&E

The material of the course is appropriate for filling theoretical gaps.
That helps the participants to join the dots in their everyday work.

Charles Amotey – Ghana
Trainer of Fundamentals of M&E
